01 / The studio
Quiet by design.
Rootstuff is the quiet web studio businesses and agencies call when the work matters. Founded by Adam Balée in West Chester, PA, the studio builds, ships, and keeps the web running, for as long as it needs to run.
02 / Origin
How it started.
With a terrible GeoCities page in the late '90s. Things got better from there.
Our founder, Adam Balée, started building early: before responsive design was a thing, before WordPress had a block editor, before "full-stack" was a job title anyone used with a straight face.
The freelancing began in college: small WordPress projects for local businesses. That turned into agency work, and agency work turned into years of themes, plugins, and custom applications for clients across the country.
Rootstuff was founded on a simple realization. Businesses and agencies alike need a development partner who actually understands their world, not an overseas team with a 12-hour time zone gap, not a rotating cast of junior developers. Senior craft, direct answers, and work that ships on time.
The studio works with businesses, startups, and small to mid-size agencies: teams that need serious development talent without the overhead of growing their own. A complex WordPress build, an ongoing maintenance relationship, a custom Laravel application: every engagement is founder-led, and the approach is the same. Understand the problem. Build it right. Keep it running.
