UnidosUS is the largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States. Once a year, it has to tell the story of everything that work achieved, to members, partners, funders, and policymakers, in a way a PDF never could.
Untuck was the principal studio, shaping the report's design and narrative direction. Rootstuff was the development partner that built it.
The brief
Annual reports die in inboxes. The organization wanted the opposite: an impact report people actually move through, where the year's programs, advocacy wins, and outcomes unfold as a designed experience rather than a document. It needed to carry serious numbers and serious storytelling at the same time, and it needed to feel as considered as the work it describes.
The build
We built the report as a standalone interactive site with Next.js, React, and Tailwind: a stack chosen for exactly this kind of high-polish, content-driven storytelling.
The report reads as a continuous narrative. Data points arrive with motion that gives them weight, sections transition like chapters, and the build holds Untuck's design intent at every breakpoint. Underneath the polish it stays fast, accessible, and fully responsive, because an impact report's whole job is to be seen.
Where it stands
The report shipped as the organization's public account of its year: programs, advocacy, and outcomes told as a digital experience rather than an attachment. For the studio it's a favorite kind of engagement, where the design asks for something the web doesn't do by default, and the development answers.
